Kathryn Conyers

Program Director

Kathryn Conyers serves as the Program Director of FitLot. In this role, Kathryn leverages her diverse backgrounds in law, business and a lifetime participation in sports and fitness. She manages the collaboration with FitLot’s city partners throughout the country, by leading the partnership agreement process and facilitating FitLot Program Grants.

Kathryn has gained expertise as a compliance manager, HR administrator, and contract administrator in various business settings, from strart-up to K-12 and higher education settings. After serving in the Office of General Counsel at Tulane University’s Health Sciences Center and dedicating her time to upgrading their contract management system to an online platform, she oversaw grant compliance for federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers ensuring the delivery of after-school and summer academic enrichment programs for students at Firstline Schools. Her commitment to equity and access to fitness extends to her work teaching early morning hot yoga classes at Magnolia Yoga Studio, New Orleans’ first black-owned yoga studio, as well as to the time she has dedicated to leading fitness classes at the historic church she attends.

Kathryn earned a BS in Finance from North Carolina A&T State University and a JD from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She enjoys doing something active and meditating daily, loves the occasional good drama movie or TV show, and values spending quality time with her husband, friends, family, and dog.
