Matt Bailey serves as the Partnerships Director of FitLot. In this role, he leads the planning and execution of organizational development, including FitLot’s national fundraising efforts and stakeholder engagement.
Matt’s experience spans policy and government affairs, strategic communications, and civic engagement with a common thread of enhancing equity and opportunity for all. As an aide to both a U.S. senator and a mayor of a mid-sized city, Matt has experience cultivating strong multi-sector partnerships and stewarding complex initiatives with the focus of strengthening communities. His volunteer leadership has included veteran engagement work at the intersections of fitness (Team RWB), disaster response (Team Rubicon), and community service (The Mission Continues). Matt received an Honorable Discharge following six years of service in the Army National Guard.
Matt earned a BA in political science from Northwestern State University and a JD from the George Washington University Law School. In his free time, Matt enjoys running as well as experiencing the magic of live music in New Orleans.
