Why be a Neighborhood Coach?
- Connect with your community
- Support your Parks & Rec Department
- Work with a range of ages and abilities
- Share your knowledge and skills with people who can truly benefit from them
FitLot works with local Parks and Recreation Departments to facilitate robust programming at each Outdoor Fitness Park. Each community class involves 45 to 60 minutes of circuit training including hands-on instruction and demonstration of the equipment and exercises. The goal is for each park to have regular classes made available to adults of all ages in the community.
Community classes are led by local fitness professionals with group fitness or personal training expertise and a passion for strengthening their community. Each coach prepares to fully activate the outdoor fitness park by completing the FitLot Coaches Training System. This training positions every local coach to lead safe, impactful classes for adults of all ages while fostering an active community of health.
