Resources and Downloads to Activate Your FitLot
Follow the steps below to activate your FitLot outdoor fitness park and best leverage your program grant funding. The Program Hub was created to provide resources for park activation including registration guides, class schedule planners, and social media support.
Your recreation department will use the program grant funds to engage community members in physical activity by hiring certified fitness professionals to lead no-cost public FitLot Method fitness classes at the outdoor fitness park as well as spreading the word through social media outreach.
This guide was shared in the kick-off email and linked in the partnership agreement. The guide can be reviewed from start to finish, or specific sections may be accessed directly.
Once both forms have been submitted, FitLot’s Program Manager will create your custom landing page in the Eventbrite registration system.
Please take your time to fill out this questionnaire. The information you provide will position the FitLot team to activate your fitness park and set up your class registration system. Use this checklist to be sure you have all the info you need to fill out the form quickly.
The AARP Sponsored Program Grant requires 54 classes per year. Please fill in your class schedules as far in advance as possible. This form can be re-submitted if program dates change or if you are unable to schedule future seasons this far in advance.
You’re now ready to put all the pieces together and put your plan into action. All of these components are essential to complete before classes can be held.
The Eventbrite Registration System Guide provides comprehensive instructions for using Eventbrite as a tool to register, track, and engage the participants of your FitLot community classes. It also serves as a marketing tool for ongoing classes at your local FitLot park.
This 10-week Facebook (FB) Outreach Campaign will help your community learn about their new AARP Sponsored Outdoor Fitness Park and the grant funded FitLot classes available for everyone to participate in. This campaign will build awareness and engage your community members to use the park properly and safely.
FitLot Neighborhood Coaches are local fitness professionals who go through FitLot’s online training course to learn optimal ways to strengthen people and communities through the activation of their FitLot Outdoor Fitness Park.
