About FitLot
FitLot is a New Orleans based national non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping communities find the resources they need to plan, build and program outdoor fitness parks. FitLot is thrilled to be supporting the Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department in their efforts to create access to an outdoor fitness park in War Memorial Park.
In 2020, FitLot facilitated the donation, construction and programming of an AARP Sponsored FitLot Fitness Park that is now owned and operated by the Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department and located at Murray Park along the Arkansas River.
In celebration of AARP’s 60th Anniversary, AARP worked with FitLot to donate, build and activate one FitLot Fitness Park in all 50 states, the USVI, Puerto Rico and D.C. Little Rock received the one donated park for the State of Arkansas and it has been extremely well used since opening.
FitLot believes that every playground should be complemented with a space for the parents to use to play and exercise. The FitLot Fitness Park at War Memorial Park will ensure a stronger future for individual residents and for the community as a whole.
